Rebecca Simon, APRN, FNP-C

Rebecca Simon, A.P.R.N., F.N.P.-C, is originally from Greenville, TX where she grew up in the country with her sisters. Rebecca has long been intrigued by medicine which runs in her family. Her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother practiced nursing, making Rebecca a 4th-generational medical provider.

Rebecca moved to the BCS area in 2014 to attend Texas A&M university. Motivated by a desire to increase people’s access to healthcare, she decided that she would continue beyond bedside nursing and study to become a nurse practitioner. Rebecca completed Texas A&M’s graduate nurse practitioner program while working full time as a nurse at a local hospital. She has worked in the medical-surgical and labor-and-delivery departments during her years, and continues to work part-time at a hospital.

Rebecca views her medical practice as more than simply the provision of healthcare — she also regards it as part of her ministry. Her work with patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients, has provided Rebecca opportunities to engage people from all walks of life. She particularly loves helping others learn how to get and stay healthy.

Rebecca is happily married to Andrew, an aerospace engineer. Rebecca enjoys running half-marathons, weightlifting, playing frisbee, riding horses, and expanding her cooking and baking skill. Together, Andrew and Rebecca have also enjoyed going on mission trips through their church, Grace Bible Church, country western dancing, and traveling.
